A summary sheet which can be used when creating web forms in RocketCake Version 5.1
The first page explains the input choices and the second page explains which the properties of each one
Third lesson in a series of lessons that aim to teach KS3/4 students how to develop a website using RocketCake 5.
Completely reworked from my RocketCake 4 KS4 lessons - students now learn by creating a website with you, starting with a master page to promote consistency.
A good tool to help students in Creative iMedia R097 if their brief can be solved with a website as no coding is required.
Lesson includes teacher PowerPoint with videos guiding the process (and an all-new voice!); separate videos (MP4) for students to play on their own; student checklist; assets to help build the page quickly e.g. logo, text; teacher solutions to tasks.
A sheet where students have to complete the job roles, based on the emoji clue.
Note: The emoji does not spell out the word - it is a clue to the role.
Editable, Word document with teacher answers.
Worksheet in Word format and example graphic in PowerPoint format
An exercise to complement my video on my YouTube channel
Students choose a graphic and state it’s audience then pick a new audience and write about how it would have to change in order to be suitable for the new audience
Scaffolded by way of a template with keywords and students can then use their notes to formulate a paragraph from their work
Challenge/extension: students can label an existing graphic with the keywords (example given)
Fourth lesson in my series to help teach students how to use the basics of Adobe Illustrator (based on 2023 version)
The focus of the lesson is to help students to learn how to add and format text, add a gradient to text and write text on a path
If you use the complete set of lessons this will help to re-practice the skills - needed for student success.
Lesson includes Microsoft PowerPoint presentation (including embedded videos); video files; starter revision recap; plenary questions (based on Bloom’s Taxonomy); student tasks with Microsoft Word task sheet which acts as a tick sheet and direction to help video. Image included for one task.
Suitable for Creative iMedia R094 as students could use Adobe Illustrator alongside Photoshop to design a logo.
Please note: lesson created using 2023 version. Whilst almost all tools will be the same, there may be a few that are not present in earlier versions.
To see the fonts correctly in the completed examples you need to download and install The Bold Font from Da Font
Ten questions to support my video that’s on my YouTube channel
Standard version is in Word format so can be adapted though contains differentiation within the questions
